Granting Screen Recording
AnyPiP needs Screen Recording permission to show a window in a PiP. Until it’s granted, its shortcut opens Settings instead.
Click the AnyPiP icon in the menu bar and choose Settings. Under Permissions, click Open Settings next to Screen Recording. If macOS doesn’t ask you directly, it opens System Settings › Privacy & Security › Screen Recording, where you can turn AnyPiP on.
Changing the shortcut
The shortcut for a new PiP is ⇧⌘1 by default. To change it, click the Shortcut field in Settings and press the keys you want. It must include ⌘ or ⌃. Click ⓧ to clear it.
Auto arrange has its own shortcut, ⌥⌘1 by default, which you change the same way.
Restoring a purchase
If you’ve already bought AnyPiP, for example on another Mac, click Restore Purchase on the welcome window or at the top of Settings. Make sure you’re signed in to the App Store with the Apple Account you bought it with.
Video goes black in another app
If video in another app, like Netflix or Prime Video, goes black while a PiP is open, turn on Video compatibility in Settings. It uses more battery than standard capture.
